I read this for book club and right up front I have to say that at least 2 of the 6 people didn't just like it, but really liked it. I did not. I found the premise ridiculous. I don't mind taking a flight of fancy once in a while, but speaking different languages? detail technical architectural data? nope. sorry. I loved her father, but hated that the book made him look stupid sometimes, not just suffering from dementia. She really lost me when Joyce insisted her father go to London with her and then failed to give him any guidance on what to expect at the airport, even though he had never flown. That scenario was not amusing as I suspect the author wanted it to be, but just plain mean spirited on Joyce's part and sad. I admit I did not finish the book and I can not remember the last time I did that. Even if I am not crazy about the book I will work through to the finish, especially for book club. Couldn't do it this time though.Tags : Thanks for the Memories on Amazon.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers.,Thanks for the Memories,Self Published,0007850891

A very enjoyable book. A difference plot line. It was an easy read, but held my intetest. I couldn't wait to find out how it ended.
I read this book couples teses ago. I read it nevasse I had read Cecilias' "PS I love you" and really Loved it! In this book again she brings a theme that is at least strange as the hero has a blood transfusion and then starts to see and feel things from the blood's donor life. They meet eventually. It's kinda different romance but is cute and I enjoyed reading it!
I loved this story. The characters are all well developed and multi-dimensional. The dad is hilarious, I love the interaction with his daughter.
This book meant a lot to me personally because I received bone graft from an anonymous donor. It is a story that should be touching for anyone but was a bit extra personal for me.
This is one of my favorite Cecelia Ahern books. This book actually got me hooked on her stuff. I have read this more than once and share it with others often.
What if when you donate blood a little piece of you goes with it? That's the premise when the heroine wakes up after an emergency transfusion and suddenly starts "remembering" things that happened to someone else. Told from the point of view of the donor and the donee the concept is highly unlikely but if you can go with it the writing is good and the story worth telling.
I have loved all of Cecelia Ahern's books. For some reason, this one was just too unrealistic for me. It is about a woman who gets into a horrible accident and, as the result of a blood transfusion, suddenly has memories she doesn't recognize, which turn out to be from the blood donor. The two feel an unexplained connection to one another as a result. I love a touch of magic but I just couldn't really buy the basic plot premise of this book.
